In November, Front Row Group and CHAINY worked with Student Enterprise and Employability (SEE) to organise a panel discussion as part of University of the Arts London Creative Enterprise Week programme. The theme of the panel discussion was ‘Sell Yourself: Self Promotion and Marketing’. CHAINY invited Senta Slingerland, Director of Brand Strategy at Lions Festivals, to speak. Senta is a brand strategist working across the Lions Festivals portfolio with particular experience in creative leadership, brand partnerships, digital strategy and project specification. A published author and regular conference speaker, Senta is also founder of See It Be It, a Cannes Lions Festival programme that aims to advance women in advertising. Inspiring Creativity is at the heart of Lions Festivals. Their Festivals and Awards are the world’s greatest celebrations of creative communications in all its forms.

Sharing the stage with Senta at the event held at The London College of Fashion was panellist Ansel Neckles, Co-Founder of Let’s Be Brief - an educational platform that creates and curates content and events to educate and inspire.

To be a success in the creative world, you need to promote yourself, your brand and your work. Whether looking for clients, customers or commissions, people need to know about you. This panel discussion explored some of the techniques, and how these essential skills can be converted to money. SEE supports students and graduates to develop their practice, in looking for work or wanting to work for themselves, by running events and offering funding, opportunities and resources.

In November, Front Row Education’s Emma Swanson visited Moscow for the first time since being appointed CEO to promote Front Row Education Services including School Placement Consultancy, Private Tutoring, and Guardianship Services. Emma visited some of the top schools, including Anglo-Russian School, British International School, and The ‘President’ School, Moscow.

Emma was also invited to attend the annual dinner hosted by Maria’s Children, a charitable organisation successfully working in Moscow since 1997 helping orphans overcome their psychological problems and to gain social confidence through art therapy and various development activities.

In November, AIG invited both senior executives and guests to Chicago for a historic matchup between the USA Eagles vs. the NZ All Blacks. Sean Fitzpatrick, in his capacity as AIG Ambassador, was there to support.

Attendees were treated to a weekend of exclusive events, including a USA v. All Blacks Gala, an AIG Welcome Bash, and a pre-match Chalk Talk. The weekend culminated with an exciting rugby match on 1st November at Soldier Field. The ground is a memorial to American soldiers and opened in 1924, the same year the USA won the gold medal in rugby at the Paris Olympics - the last time rugby was played at the Olympics. It is the oldest NFL stadium, celebrating 90 years of operation. Since 1971 it has been the home of Chicago’s NFL team, the Chicago Bears. The stadium seats an impressive 61,500 people and is located in downtown Chicago.

The Eagles fell to the Rugby World Cup champions, 74-6.

Front Row Leadership and Sean Fitzpatrick were invited to take part in The World Rugby Conference and Exhibition 2014, a two-day symposium that brought together Rugby’s global community and saw the unveiling of the new World Rugby brand and visual identity, held at the London Metropole.

Sean was invited to take part in the opening session of the conference, a panel discussion titled ‘State of the Union’ which explored the opportunities and challenges that Rugby will face over the next decade as it continues to grow and develop worldwide. Sean shared the stage with Agustin Pichot – former Argentina Captain, and former French Captain Thomas Castaignède. BBC World’s David Eades was the moderator.

The conference provided an opportunity for Rugby World Cup experts past, present and future to come together to discuss the planning, innovation and delivery of World Rugby’s flagship tournament, including to look ahead to Rugby World Cup 2015 in England and Japan 2019.
