The British Sports Journalists' Association acknowledged the All Blacks at their annual awards where they were given the SJA President's Award. The awards, which honour achievement in British sport, are Britain's longest-running sports awards and have been presented since 1949, the same year as the forerunner of the Halberg Awards, the New Zealand Sportsman of the Year award, began.

Winners in most categories are decided by members voting but the President's award is a specialised category. President Patrick Collins said the award was normally awarded to an individual from Britain, but that the All Blacks squad deserved it, “for playing a game as near perfect as it can be played”. The award was accepted on behalf of the side by former All Blacks captain Sean Fitzpatrick and All Blacks lock Ali Williams.

Portland England continues to develop its products

Front Row Hospitality

Front Row Luxury’s first men’s grooming range is now available online, at Fenwick of Bond Street and at New York Times favourite barbershop Ruffians in Covent Garden.

Shaving should be a ritual. A quiet moment to contemplate and consider your day ahead, like waxing your surfboard or waiting for the perfect wave.

The team behind Portland England sail, surf and swim, and know first-hand the damaging effect the sea and weather can have on your skin. Using the most hostile environment as their testing ground, they have created a range with hydration at its core, resulting in an exceptional skincare range that best prepares men for the day head, battling force 8 gales or boardroom storms.

With a desire to push the boundaries of men’s skincare, friends and co-founders Misa Zahar and Bella Middleton introduced the science found in women's products to men's skincare, creating innovative products which feed and help to hydrate the skin whilst cleansing, moisturising and protecting it before, during and after shaving. Combining their joint experience of men's grooming and menswear to Portland England, they have ensured that each bespoke formulation is a sensitive marriage of advanced science and natural ingredients; safe, effective and proven to work.

Movember Founation - Inspiring Mo's - A thank you from Ben Bowers

Front Row Hospitality

'The Movember Foundation is hugely grateful for the efforts of Sean and the Front Row Mo Growers during Movember. With such a strong moustache on show from Fitzy it was no surprise that the community was fully behind their leader both on the pitch and off. To finish the month in 10th place for the UK is no small achievement when you consider they have beaten the likes of Barclays and Mace Group. I’m sure there will be some extra motivation next year having been pipped at the posts by Northampton Saints!

The money that the team has raised and the conversations they have started about men’s health will save lives and for that we could not be more humbled. A big Thank You from the Movember Team!'

A Sport Forum dedicated to the leaders of tomorrow

Following the hugely successful Rugby World Cup 2015 for the All Blacks, former captain and All Black Sean Fitzpatrick and Head of Sports Programmes at UNICEF UK Tom Burstow joined expert moderator Radha Balani, to form a new Sport Forum focusing the discussion on the impact of sport off the pitch.

As Nelson Mandela famously said: “Sport has the power to change the world” – and both Sean and Tom live and breathe this mantra. As an academy member of the Laureus Foundation, and following retirement from competitive rugby, Sean Fitzpatrick has dedicated his career to leadership and international development. Similarly, throughout his career, Tom has led various programs at UNICEF where sport is used as a catalyst to effect social action and positive change. In this session, Radha Balani interviewed the two pioneers of change in the world of sport. They explored the importance of leadership and communication, how social concern can and should be placed at the centre of an organisation’s strategic thinking, and how we can drive forward international development by harnessing the power of sport, working together as a team and promoting positive values to children and young people.

A school in profile: Charterhouse

Front Row Hospitality

If the best of a traditional British Education coupled with an inspiring forward thinking mind set is something that you are looking for then Charterhouse may well be the school for your son (or daughter in the sixth form).  Housed in what was once an ancient Carthusian Monastery, these ivy covered walls and expansive lawns provide the ideal sanctuary within which to provide a first class academic education.  With over 900 A*s and As gained at GCSE last academic year, Charterhouse is proving itself to be a top player in British Education.  Offering a programme of IGCSEs as well as offering IBs and A-levels, Charterhouse has also adopted the Cambridge Pre-U exams in an attempt to provide the most academically rigorous education possible.  Though it offers learning support for those with some difficulties, it is worth bearing in mind that Charterhouse has a strong academic selection process.

Catering for around 800 boys aged 13-18, the school also admits 140 girls into the sixth form (or Specialists). This gives the opportunity for schooling geared towards the needs of boys through their formative years whilst also offering the balance and competition of their female counterparts once excellent learning strategies and habits have been formed. All but around 20 pupils board in this impressive 250 acre site. There is a lively and varied programme of extra-curricular activities and sports including an extremely strong football team (Rugby is not played at Charterhouse).

Historical in more ways than simply the buildings accommodating it, the school boasts a number of illustrious alumni including Joseph Addison, John Wesley, Jonathan and David Dimbleby and Ralph Vaughan Williams. Charterhouse boys are also famously credited with inventing dribbling in the game of football (almost as important as academic achievement at Charterhouse) as in former times boys were restricted to the small spaces of the cloisters to play their games, showing both passion and innovation!

RBS 6 Nations Rugby 2016

With the Six Nations just around the corner, it's time to free space in your calendar.

The opening weekend will see Scotland and England contesting the Calcutta Cup at Murrayfield and Ireland beginning another title defence at home to Wales. No one in the tournament’s history – and it dates back to 1883 – has ever won the title outright three times in succession. A lot will hinge on the weekend’s clash at the Aviva Stadium. From there, Ireland have consecutive away games in Paris and Twickenham. With injuries currently complicating Schmidt’s life, one or two understudies will need to make a strong impression.

Both England and France now have different head coaches, with Eddie Jones and Guy Novès having replaced Stuart Lancaster and Philippe Saint-André respectively.

England travel to Italy on Valentine's Day, while their home match against Wales is scheduled for four weeks later in the middle of March.

For the final round of matches Wales will be at home to Italy, Ireland will host Scotland, and England will travel to Paris to play France.
